I met Yu Hong during my national service days. Despite his heavy duty as a commander, he always spends time listening to his team's concerns and working towards our goals together. Thus, I trust him and his services. We had a few financial advisory sessions, and I feel he always tries his best to understand my situation and challenges before advising me. Not only does he has vast financial knowledge, he often simplifies them for me, making sure that I fully understand the available options. I truly appreciate that he is transparent and not pushy, which made me feel comfortable throughout our sessions. One of the best decisions I made for myself in 2022 was to engage Yu Hong as my financial advisor. Interestingly, the first time I met Yu Hong for financial planning wasn't even for myself! It was actually a meet-up for my husband. My husband had no insurance coverage in Singapore and was adamant that he didn't need any, until he met Yu Hong. The first meeting with Yu Hong went a lot like a chat under the sun with a long-lost friend. We spoke openly about our dreams, goals and financial limitations. The conversation was effortless and vulnerable; no pretense and just filled with hope and faith. Yu Hong's sincerity and genuine efforts in learning about us before planning for my husband's policies truly shifted my view about financial planners. A month later, while going through my own policies, I realised that I may be spending more than I needed. Even though Yu Hong wasn't my financial advisor then, I turned to him for help in looking through my policies. The fact that he got back to me promptly with a customised document designed just for me and took me through my policies spoke volume about how earnest he is helping others. I think what really moved me was the fact that he honestly had nothing to gain from me and he could easily have rejected my request and directed me to my then-financial advisor. But without any perks on his ends, he painstakingly reviewed my policies and dedicated his time to help me better understand my insurance coverage. It was obviously a no-brainer for me to transfer my policies over to Yu Hong because at the end of the day, you'd want a financial advisor who is truly passionate about serving his best for you. Yu Hong is that man, rooting for you in the corner.. never pushing you for his own benefits but only giving gentle nudges to steer you towards the right direction in managing your finances. Both my husband and I are confident that we made the right choice in engaging Yu Hong as our financial advisor. We trust that he'd be there when times are difficult for us. True enough, Yu Hong was there when I had health complications during my postpartum period. Without a second thought, he came down to the hospital and waited patiently for me to be admitted. He even had a coat ready to offer since it was freezing in the waiting area. His actions are true testament to who Yu Hong is as a person; a compassionate man with a magnanimous heart. Thank you Yu Hong for not only being our financial advisor, but a confidante to both of us. We are blessed to have you in our lives.
